[he moves in a little closer after grabbing his cellphone.]

Oh-- you can have your book back if you want.

Nah. You look like you're enjoying it.

[he'll just do some browsing on his phone.]

Mm, okay...

[Scoots further down into the bed so he can be right next to Jason, but keeps reading without further protest.]

[he's just quiet as he keeps reading.

though slowly, the phone drops.

then his eyes close.

and before he really knows it, he's out cold.

When Nero finally notices, he stops - takes it as a cue to put the book aside. His eyes wander over Jason's face for a moment, examining the puffy redness that still lingered... and gives him a light kiss on the forehead.

Then dims the lights and curls up around him, for however much rest his poor boyfriend could get tonight.]

[it's another-- relatively long sleep. for him. he blinks himself awake in the morning and just... sits up slowly, trying to pick Nero off of him without waking him up.]

[Nero's like, dead asleep this time, because he got woken up in the middle of the night.]

[huh. he ghosts his hand across his hair for the moment.

[well, he will get dressed. who knows if Avante barges into each other's rooms. it could be bad...]

[Good thing there's always the workshop to hide out in. The roses are growing nicely there. The top of the loft is pretty out of view from the door, too.

Nero stirs eventually, trying to nuzzle into a Jason that wasn't there anymore. That forces his eyes open, groggily looking around.]

Buh...?

[he hears him wake up just as he gets his shirt on. so, he sits down on the bed next to him]

G'mornin' sunshine.

[he teases, reaching out to ruffle his hair.]

[HE'S RUFFLED! Nero gives the customary amount of whining, swatting Jason's hand away sleepily.]

Someone slept well...

Yeah, I'm surprised too. I was planning on finishing that book, but you seemed to be havin' a good time.

[so he didn't take it back. he switches from ruffling to brushing his hair away, and then lets his hand drop.]

Meanwhile, you're up late.

[Grumble, looks down the front of his shirt, no boob.]

Got texted inna middle of the night. Raven bein' all melodramatic...

That's the perfect time for melodrama.

And damn, I really was out cold.

Yuh-huh. Too goth to sleep.

[No boob means it's safe to take off his shirt!]

...That's almost like, three whole nights. How d'you feel?

Rested. Which, s'better than it has been for awhile now. I'll take it.

So, you gonna go around as yourself today?

[Mutters as he gets up to search for clean clothes,]

If I don't, it's gonna look like it's still bugging me.

[he watches him as he does that.]

... Huh.

[he's going to stand up. and... go wrap his arms around Nero from behind, pulling him into a hug. he rests his chin on the top of Nero's head.]

That so.

[Nero blinks at the sudden embrace, but after a beat, softens against Jason. Lets his one arm wrap over Jason's and breathes out a long, soft sigh.]

...I'll bounce back. It's what I do.
