[Good thing there's always the workshop to hide out in. The roses are growing nicely there. The top of the loft is pretty out of view from the door, too.

Nero stirs eventually, trying to nuzzle into a Jason that wasn't there anymore. That forces his eyes open, groggily looking around.]

[he hears him wake up just as he gets his shirt on. so, he sits down on the bed next to him]

G'mornin' sunshine.

[he teases, reaching out to ruffle his hair.]

[HE'S RUFFLED! Nero gives the customary amount of whining, swatting Jason's hand away sleepily.]

Someone slept well...

Yeah, I'm surprised too. I was planning on finishing that book, but you seemed to be havin' a good time.

[so he didn't take it back. he switches from ruffling to brushing his hair away, and then lets his hand drop.]

Meanwhile, you're up late.

[Grumble, looks down the front of his shirt, no boob.]

Got texted inna middle of the night. Raven bein' all melodramatic...

That's the perfect time for melodrama.

And damn, I really was out cold.

Yuh-huh. Too goth to sleep.

[Mutters as he gets up to search for clean clothes,]

[he watches him as he does that.]

... Huh.

[he's going to stand up. and... go wrap his arms around Nero from behind, pulling him into a hug. he rests his chin on the top of Nero's head.]

That so.

[Nero blinks at the sudden embrace, but after a beat, softens against Jason. Lets his one arm wrap over Jason's and breathes out a long, soft sigh.]

...I'll bounce back. It's what I do.

[he teases, as he doesn't let him go]

Just like how I'm bouncing back from that gross, hurtful comparison.

I'm definitely more like an extra determined three legged dog.

[he dips his head to kiss his temple, before letting him go]

[Though freed, Nero takes the chance to turn around instead and catch Jason in his own embrace, loosely draping his arms over his shoulders.]
