[as he starts to incline his head into nero's touch, he pauses upon realization that he actually kind of likes hearing those words, but breezes past it before he can get stuck too long,]

We made it one full set of holidays past the first time you asked me if sleeping with me made you loose.

[Even Shrike, who - though they had hurdles of their own, had always been the kind of person Nero wanted, and adored. Jason had been unexpected-- at times, a revelation of things Nero didn't even know about himself.]

he doesn't even know how to react to that. part of him wanted to laugh it off, tell him it was a mistake. and then there was the part that desperately wanted to hear things like that.

he sighs, and his smile softens]

There's that romantic side again. And here I thought you were gonna say I gave you gray hair or something.

Nero snorts fondly and twines the shock of white between his fingers]

Nero shrugs off his avante coat onto a training dummy]

Y'know, I challenged my dad to hand-to-hand the other day.

[he's not tossing his jacket aside, though. for some reason.

He can't break out of a grapple for shit.

[not knowing how to get out of a body lock + fighting with Nero = you can imagine how that went]
