[He says, knowing full well what Jason's suggesting.]

Avante's got a training room, so.

[He curls his fingers around Jason's and leads him by the hand to the training room]

It's a family trait, I guess.

[but he's going to follow him easily.]

[Ta daa, they're in the training courtyard now. Soft grass and spring breezes - no need for the thick winter layers anymore.

Nero shrugs off his avante coat onto a training dummy]

Y'know, I challenged my dad to hand-to-hand the other day.

And how'd that go?

[he's not tossing his jacket aside, though. for some reason.

who knows.]

He can't break out of a grapple for shit.

Apparently 'demons don't wrestle'.

[not knowing how to get out of a body lock + fighting with Nero = you can imagine how that went]

Wow. So you kicked his ass.

It was pretty satisfying.

Glad your dad's making the effort, then. For all the bullshit.

He is. Honestly, he's been doing his best.

The dad jokes are still godawful though.

[he seems to be relatively relaxed, though he swings his arms a bit to loosen up]

[Nero does the same, giving his neck and shoulder joints a quick stretch before readying himself in a loose stance - weight shifting from one foot to the next, eyeing Jason up.]

Seems kinda unfair if I got this nifty arm. 'Less you've got more tricks up your sleeve...?

I got a couple. Thought I'd get back into practice without powers.

Probably was too over-reliant on 'em anyway.

[Rather than elaborate on how goddamn sexy vigilantism was, he opts to rush in with a jab with his left - to distract from his grappling hook trying to latch onto Jason's arm.]

[Jason leans back, but when he feels the hook latch onto his arm, he lets the tension act as a balance to complete the flip, kicking the heel of his boot straight up toward's Nero's face, and landing a couple of feet away, his hand gripping the wire for the moment, before he lunges forward to tackle him]

[Nero swerves his head to the side just fast enough to avoid Jason's boot smashing into the bottom of his jaw, but it still grazes the side of his face.

Giving a hard yank on the cable wrapped around Jason's arm, Nero pulls his balance slightly off when he comes in for a tackle and heaps himself onto Jason instead, smacking him flat onto the ground with his full weight.]

[he catches his forearm against the ground, and immediately pushes back to right himself, twisting as he pulls the cable and pushes up.

and then immediately launching into a punch once there's enough space for him to move, his hand still gripped tightly onto the cable]

[As usual, Nero's legs are wrapping around Jason's waist and trying to throw him off, but when he gets his face punched right into the ground, he changes tacks - grabbing Jason by the shoulders and

just headbutts him.
