Drawing his sword, the red winged demon charges at the monster in the throne - but for all his surge of power, he gets no further than anyone else. The giant merely has lazily extend his hand, and the sheer wall of power he exudes is enough to keep Dante's blade from touching him. Sparks fly as Dante struggles in place, barely able to hold him back from finishing off the others. The whole place is starting to come down in this clash of power.
Dante calls back to them, while he's still able, "V, get Nero out of here! This was a bad move!"
NO. He's struggling back to his feet, crying out, "I can still fight!"
"NERO, GO! You're just dead weight!"
V tries to pull him back but he throws him off, enraged, desperate to prove himself. "Back off!--" but, before he can get any farther, more debris collapses on top of them. He's barely dragged out of the way, falling onto his ass as V throws an arm around him, trying with what little strength he has to get him to safety.
"Come on!" For all V's efforts, he doesn't stop fighting him.
"Let go!"
"We must leave here!" V's insistent, trying to project calm as he screams his voice hoarse. "He is far stronger than we ever could have imagined!"
The piling boulders start closing off the throne room, closing off the fight from him. Anger becomes anguish as he still tries to claw his way back. "That bastard called me dead weight! I didn't come all this way for nothing!"
With one last push of effort, V manages to push him against a rock wall with his cane, away from imminent destruction. "Stop hitting yourself, and think of ways to get stronger and actually help."
He clenches his teeth, head bowed. Forced to swallow his V continues, voice lowered but no less urgent, "If Dante loses, you are all that can defeat Urizen."
Taking in this information, he quiets. "...Is that what you call him?"
"Yes. Urizen, the demon king... That's the name of the demon that took your arm."
