Vergil: Define your idea of cool and romantic.

Vergil: Yes, do you think I have a sense of that? Anyway try The Three Musketeers. Le Morte d'Arthur. The Mark of Zorro. The Iliad and The Odyssey.

Vergil: No? They all have plenty of fighting. Some are about wars, all of them have a romantic interest.

Vergil: They're adventure books with romance, I guess? I clearly don't read romance novels.

Vergil: That happens in Le Morte d'Arthur. It's King Arthur. Otherwise you'll have some trouble finding much fighting in there as well. But if you want something focused on that sort of thing, I suppose you would like Jane Austen's works. Or the Brontes. Not exactly my taste, so I am little help there.

Vergil: There are no zombies. Or anything else supernatural.

Vergil: It is rather dry and boring. Anything focused on romance tends to be.

Morning☆Glory: I used to read some romance novels, but I'm not sure any of them are book club material.

Morning☆Glory: People who read books probably wouldn't think they were good enough to be worth discussing.

[...]

Morning☆Glory: Also, most of them have a lot of sex.

Morning☆Glory: I guess that's true.
Morning☆Glory: Well... Maybe the Anita Blake series, then?

Morning☆Glory: I'm not good at describing things... let me look it up.

[also it's embarrassing. after a minute:]

Morning☆Glory:
Laurell K. Hamilton’s bestselling series has captured readers’ wildest imaginations and addicted them to a seductive world where supernatural hungers collide with the desires of the human heart, starring a heroine like no other...

Anita Blake is small, dark, and dangerous. Her turf is the city of St. Louis. Her job: re-animating the dead and killing the undead who take things too far. But when the city’s most powerful vampire asks her to solve a series of vicious slayings, Anita must confront her greatest fear—her undeniable attraction to master vampire Jean-Claude, one of the creatures she is sworn to destroy...

Morning☆Glory: That's the first one.

Morning☆Glory: Later there are werewolves and wereleopards and stuff in addition to vampires.

Vergil: I was just speaking to Nero. He forgot who I was in the middle of the conversation, no recognition whatsoever. I would suggest making no further attempts to remind him of any relation or arguing against anything else out of place. It may only be making this worse.

Vergil: He seemed to more or less be saying if he didn't know anything else he might have liked me. I was joking with him about being like me, he laughed, and then seemed to be in pain and suddenly had no idea we had just been talking.

Morning☆Glory: Ah.
Morning☆Glory: So whatever did it is still doing it... it won't let you establish a new connection with him, either.

[THANKS SHE HATES IT]

Morning☆Glory: We have to figure out how to fix it.
