[he sighs, light.]

I love you too. Y’know telling people’s gonna be a pain.

[he puts his arm over his shoulders.]

I know.

[He rests his head against Jason, looping his arms around him in a loose embrace.]

Lemme just wallow in feeling good for a lil' longer.

... still up for me to punch you in the face, then?

[Huffs a laugh and thumps Jason with a light mock punch]

There's plenty of time for that later.

... I guess there is, huh.

As much as we want.

[With that, he leans up to kiss Jason - one of adoration, relief, and a lightness in his heart that finally held hope for the future.]

[he slowly kisses back-- since y'know. I guess they're in the doorway of the Training Room, just savoring the moment.

and maybe, he doesn't care where they are for once. the threat's finally over.]

[Nero sighs contentedly when their lips part.]

How long t'you think we have left here?

Dunno. Could be a couple of days, could be a couple of weeks.

What're the odds they'll sneak in one last terrible game, huh?

[Tempting fate here!!!]

Well. Either way... is Talon gonna be okay?

... He's gonna be at least a little relieved.

But I don't know.

He was worried. He didn't want you going back home.

...At least, that gives him the freedom t'go somewhere else too.

... He's gonna come with us eventually. And if his mind doesn't change, I'm fine with that.

I think he'd fit in.

I mean, none of us idiots are 'normal', and he wouldn't have to pretend t'be. But he can have a life, too.

Yeah, that's what he deserves.

Not what's happening back home.

...You remember all of it now?

[he nods, and sighs.]

It's not worth talking about, let's leave it at that.

...Okay.

[Nero's face softens with understanding, and he presses a quick kiss to Jason's jaw.]

[he relaxes just a little bit, and tilts his head.]

... Now what?

I guess... get our affairs in order?

There any lingering tasks on your to do list?

[He frowns, and slowly... shakes his head.]

I did what I could. And the stuff I wanna do, we probably don't have time for.

Could always blow all your points on one big spending spree.

I could always do that.
