[ she moves her arms around his middle and snuggles into him. ] Not being able to hear has been a little scary... just like when I couldn't see, but being here, with you, I feel safe, so I feel a bit better already.
[His expression trembles, unable to hide how affected he is by what she's saying. Maybe he's trash but knowing he can still kinda help her is... not terrible.]

[Griffin nods, and presses his face against hers. Less like a kiss and more like a tired nuzzle, but the closeness is comforting all the same. He doesn't type anything more, putting the phone down to touch her arm instead, longing to hold her hand.

[ and she's more than alright with that. she returns the little nuzzle and shuts her eyes, stroking along his arm and down to his hand, which she finds to have apparently been mangled. nothing about griffin could gross her out though, so she takes whatever's there in hand and holds it gently. ]
[ she's so comfortable here, with him, that she might actually doze off for a bit. ]
[That's fine. He won't drift off for a while yet - comforted just by being able to see the slow rhythm of her breathing. She deserved the rest. Everything's been so hard on Heart Soldier since that Live...
It's easy to pretend that like this, just for a little while, he might be able to keep her safe. If only in sleep.]
