[Griffin makes it there in record time because for once, he didn't have to race Jason there sans powers.

So Jason can see him drop from the sky because he ran all the way there on swords summoned in mid-air.

Griffin lands into a roll, streaking a trail of glowing blue light from his skin.]

[he's just sitting against an HVAC unit, watching him. his face looks pretty pale, though, even as he manages a mildly impressed look.]

[Griffin isn't nearly as self-congratulatory as he usually is when he pulls off a sweet stunt. If anything he just seems kinda tired of himself.]

I doubt he cares if you learn restraint for running on swords.

[just his honest opinion, as he pushes himself up gingerly.]

Seems like the type of thing to double up on, if you're that frustrated.

[Griffin watches how Jason holds his weight as he stands, looking for how much the leg was still hurting him.]

...Nothing I do is right. I don't have a single instinct that matches what he thinks is already common sense.

He acts like that's common sense he didn't have to learn. Or that we don't get bad instincts.

[and he shifts his weight, testing the injured leg, and then crouches down, like he's verifying range of movement.

[Said listlessly. Griffin sighs and glances away now that Jason seemed more alive. Maybe he'll just pace along the roof's edge, but he looks like he has something bothering him.]

[and then he straightens, before heading closer to the edge.]

[He's not accusatory - more muted than anything.]

... I don't want to argue with you. It didn't seem worth it to correct you.

[glossing over that he tried to do so]

[He snorts, faintly amused]

Shrike did the same thing once, y'know?

But it wouldn't entirely surprise me.

I lost my memory of her in Malik's game. Thought she was a new member that just turned up.

She never corrected me. If we hadn't won, she probably would've just played along like she'd never meant anything to me.

And thought it was better, 'cause no one had to be upset that way.
