[Griffin smiles with more relief than he'd care to admit, into the crook of Jason's shoulder.]

[He pulls back the collar of that punk jacket and plants a kiss on the skin there, gentle. Caressing his neck with a soft suggestion,]

[he pauses, savoring that feeling for a moment, letting Griffin croon out his suggestion. tired? tired was far from the truth. but the implication-- he had to admit to himself that he was craving it.

and he moves forward, easily, setting him down, letting himself be pulled in.]

Something tells me you don't want me to actually be tired.

[Griffin scoots back to give Jason room on the bed, and somehow - still manages to look bashful as he shrugs off his coat.]

[he stares down at him, and then leans back to shrug off his own coat, considering Griffin for a minute.]

[there's a lot more he could say, but there's that vague confusion on his face for a moment, as he realizes they're skipping a bunch of their usual steps. no fighting.

and then he leans back down.]

[He answers him by leaning in with a soft kiss. Really, Jason. It's enough that he just Likes You and wants to share his body with you. Especially after their missed chance yesterday.]

[he lingers in the kiss for a long moment, savoring it. and then pulls back just barely, locking eyes with him.]

[And then he leans back down-- more aggressively kissing him, but not quite with the same hunger and passion as after a fight. it's like he has permission to take his time, to explore his mouth, as his hands immediately find the hem of his shirt and push it up, skin against skin.]

[Griffin grins into the kiss, kicking off his boots to move backwards onto the bed.

This feels nice. Gentler. Not the kind of conquest the demon blood in him craved, but the longing that his human heart resonated with.

He helps peel his shirt off, breaking the kiss just long enough to pull it over his head and discard it.]

[breaking the kiss gives him a chance to kick off his shoes, too. and to briefly appreciate griffin underneath him. but he doesn't want to stay away for long, and he closes the distance again after that brief moment.

but now his hands have free reign to touch his skin, moving along the contours of his muscles and the few remaining scars, his thumb edging along his chest and across his nipple.

[There's a shiver in his breath as Jason traces his fingers over his skin, and a flutter in his chest. It's strange, how was this... suddenly so nerve-wracking? It's not like they've never fucked. But he felt-- more vulnerable somehow, like his whole heart was laid bare.

Maybe he was just scared of ruining this. Of pushing too far and losing him.

But if Jason was comfortable(?) going slowly then... how could he do any less?

[the sensation is weird, ever since he got rid of the burn scars. in that... there was sensation. he could feel Griffin's hands at a more minute level, and he's not sure how he feels about that... just, in general.

but he catches the hitch in Griffin's breath, and he doesn't know exactly what prompted it. did he miss something he did? his brow furrows lightly, and he catches his breath, breaking the kiss for a moment, just to gaze at Griffin, studying his reaction to his hands across his skin. he wanted to figure out what he did.

his skin is already a little flushed, a reaction it would have been hard to get a week or so ago.]

[Ah... Griffin's skin flushes even deeper when Jason's eyes take him in, and he nervously fidgets under his gaze. The white of his hair and eyelashes stand out even more against the red, catching the light.

It felt like Jason's careful attention alone was enough to make his heart race, he was so vulnerable. He pauses his exploration of Jason's torso.

Timid but longing, nervous but trusting, Griffin chews his lower lip.]

That felt more like familiar ground: the marks and claim it represented. Sighing more comfortably, Griffin nuzzles his face into the crook of Jason's neck, and lets his hands roam over the plains of his back, pulling him in as his legs part to give him room.]

[he doesn't need to savage the skin there today, even if he's tempted to anyway. instead, as he's drawn in, he lets his hands go to the hem of Griffin's pants, to start undoing the fastening.]

No healing?

[he lets his breath blow over the wetness on his skin.]

[Goosebumps ripple over his skin, his hair standing on end. Griffin lifts the shirt from Jason's back as he murmurs,]

[he separates from him, lets him pull the shirt off of him. and immediately, it's easy to see the scar removals. what had been rough skin, with patches of scars of varying lengths and shapes... is mostly smooth. no more burns, no more criss crossing stories of hard battles.

it makes it easier to see the long, parallel scars that went down his chest.

and then he starts to pull Griffin's pants down.

His hands reach for Jason's chest, but they're drawn towards the foreign, empty fields of healed skin rather than the path of his claws. It's-- so different to what he remembers, and in their absence, his mark stands out all the more.

He misses them, even if at the same time he's drawn to rediscovering Jason's body. His fingers trace over this newly soft skin, fascinated.

He's so entranced that the tug of his pants being pulled off him takes him by surprise. He blinks, self conscious all over again.]

[He has to force himself to relax again, even if pure embarrassment was burning through him. Awkwardly, he rests a hand on Jason's chest - it's okay, it's fine.]

[he considers this for a second, granting himself out loud,]

[He pulls his legs in a little, self conscious at being the only naked one in this conversation. Exposed. Was this bad? It didn't feel bad... It felt new?]

[there's a pause as he notices what he's doing, notices the self consciousness in his body language.

he offers a half grin, somewhat awkward around the edges.]

What do you want?

[he asks as he leans down to kiss his shoulder, his hand trailing up the inside of his thigh to his cock.]

[The grin does as much as his touch to ease Griffin, as he tries to steel himself from shivering (unsuccessfully) at the wandering hand.

Mustering up some bravado, he remarks with a tug at Jason's belt,]

but that does pull him back again, as he has to work through getting his pants off-- part of why he was avoiding it, because of the full separation it required.

[Brash teasing was. More familiar territory. He took refuge in it, knowing that not everything was weird and new.

Fondly, despite his bashfulness, he leans in to plant a light kiss on Jason's lips as he strips, encouraging him to close that distance once he was done.]
